We can’t help it. Even in the digital age, it’s still exciting to be interviewed by the local news network. Okay, let’s be honest, it’s not just exciting, it’s a little intimidating too. We’ll put the experience up there with learning you have to give a speech, and then being told, “It’s okay. It only needs to take a minute.” Which couldn’t be truer as that description basically described exactly what happened. See the video for yourself and don’t miss out on reading the article by Ariana Gonzalez of the KFYR-TV News team.
No matter how much you prepare, you always find something you wish you would have said differently. Though, all things said (pun intended), you never find yourself wishing you wouldn’t have done the interview. Opportunities like this are a blessing for small businesses looking to get noticed in the community. After all, we have so much to offer if only the community knew more about us. That statement is essentially Marketing 101. Find your audience and ensure they can find you. Good news too, for us at least, the topic of the interview was Soda Drop. That’s a subject we know a lot about. Dare say, we’re practically the world experts on Soda Drop.
Adventure on the Small Business Ride
In the grand scheme, this is all part of the small business ride. Another great adventure along the way that one day, perhaps today, will become its own story. What a story it will be as long as you find yourself willing to take that step. Truth be told, it should be a fairly easy step since you’ve already taken the most difficult step. Yes, the most difficult step when starting a business is often that first one when you decide to step onto the path. It’s that exact moment when you believe in yourself and your abilities. When you know you can make your new business something great. All the subsequent steps are easier cause you’re already on the road. The adventure begins. Now you just need to enjoy the trip.
That’s the thing too with starting a business there’s no looking back on that path. Not if you want to be successful. You got to keep going. Be ever curious what you’re going to find around the next bend. It may be great. It may be trying. Either way it will be something we look forward to because it will be something new for us. A new opportunity to prove to yourself that yes, you can make your business something great! And then tell the world what you accomplished. What better way to do that than an interview with the local news network to share your story. It’s an affirmation that you’re making progress. You’re stepping in the right direction. You’re getting noticed by the community. So, we say enjoy it. And that’s exactly what we did. We enjoyed the experience and relished our time with the KFYR-TV News team. Thank you for the opportunity!
